Hi if a user tries to reset their password here - beta.spanishmarks.com when they enter the verification code sent to them by email and click on the reset my password button they are forwarded to the login page and are unable to reset it - valid key and email provided in site details to check.

If you want to sign up please fill out the free class form and I will enable the user so that you can receive the verification code via email for further testing.

Thanks.
Hello Rowan,

It is most likely that most of your menu's created on your site are set to "Registered" only. This is probably causing the page to report errors when they are not logged in. What you can do to fix this is to create hidden menus (If you need to really have those existing menus set as registered only), and create a menu item to both the reset username / password as public menu items. Since there are no modules loading this new menu, the menu would be hidden.

Hi Rowan,

I am sorry for the late reply.
From your screenshot I can see that EasySocial>Dashboard is set to public and most of other menu as well. Can you provide us with backend access and FTP access so that we can further inspect and debug this issue on your site. I have tried register to your site and it seems like:
"Warning
Login Denied. Your account is either blocked or has not been activated by one of our administrators yet."

Please advise.

Hi Rowan,

I am sorry for the delayed reply.
After quite some time debugging your site, finally I have found the issue. I have apply some fix on your site in this file: .../components/com_easysocial/views/account/view.html.php at line: 32.

Can you verify for me this issue is resolved?
Please do update us back

Works perfectly. Is this to do with lockdown mode? If so will it be core patched or do I need to reapply on update?

Many thanks

Rowan

Hello Rowan,

Yes, it seems like there's a bug in our system whereby it's checking on the incorrect layout when lockdown mode is enabled. This issue will be resolved in the next release of EasySocial
