We're planning to add Pages on the 2.0 milestone and right after we are done with 1.4, we'll head on to 2.0. I will disclose more about this in the upcoming blog post

Initially we thought of adding Pages into 1.4 but if we do that, it would delay the release of 1.4. We decided to push Pages into 2.0 instead After 1.4, we will most likely jump to 2.0

Any idea what the integration features will be like between the pages app and profile fields (for example have a field that will allow users to select items from the pages app [similar to how Facebook and LinkedIn allow one to link to pages/item such as companies, schools etc]?

I'm also curious of the Pages implementation as I'm trying to start organising new sections in my community but I don't want them to conflict with Pages...

- Are you already able to tell me if a "Page" will be able to create groups, events, have their own blog and be managed by multiple members?

- Can a user create a page without having a "normal" profile?

- Can an existing member profile be converted as Page?

One thing I personally which is that "Pages" can use third-party extension such as E-commerce integrations... Having each Pages recognise as a user by Joomla, would make this possible without having companies to create special integrations...

I could do this by using the actual Easysocial profile types, but unfortunately, I'm missing the options to have one user being able to switch between multiple profile he could have, and be able to disable the friends connection type.

With 1.4 release final and underway, can you provide any updates on the pages app, specifically will it have the following features?

• Ability to import from other directory extensions.
  
• Bulk upload via csv
  
• Ability for users to "claim" pages (this would allow a site admin to create pages for business owners and later have the owner claim them)
  
• Geo-location features
  
• Will it be possible to convert an existing group to a page?
  
• Check-in features and badges similar to Foursquare.

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply, I just got back from my annual vacation! Needed it very badly To be honest, we don't have a definite answer for your inquiry yet at this point of time as we haven't really started working on the next major milestone. We are still in the midst of discussing the features and solving a couple teething issues right now.
