I'm trying to get the page break block to work. It only shows a horizontal line.

Apparently, the page break feature requires a plug-in which for whatever reason, you don't bother to include when you download EasyBlog.

I located what are supposed to be the package of EasyBlog plug-ins, downloaded and installed the PageBreak plug-in, and it breaks the entire blog — nothing at all will display.

Please provide better documentation and a solution to enable what is supposed to be basic functionality in this product.
Hey Cedric,

Here's the EasyBlog page break plugin. You can install it using the extension manager. After that, make sure it is enabled so that the page break can function properly.

Hope this helps

Hey Kevin,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. Are you using the composer to include the page break or are you using the WYSIWYG editor?

You don't need to download the page break plugin because the ones on our download sites are only for EasyBlog 3.9.x. Since EasyBlog 5.x, all the plugins and modules are automatically installed when you install EasyBlog unless you explicitly uncheck it.

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Mark,

I've created an admin account for you to check this out, but I don't want to post that information publicly. How can I get it to you directly?

I'm using the PageBreak block, but it's not working. It just displays a thin horizontal line. This is the link to the post that has the PageBreaks in it:

Hey Kevin,

The access which you have provided doesn't have access to EasyBlog as this is all I can see when I access it from the back end, http://screencast.com/t/h5yQ4nhDV

By the way, please remember to assign your domain to your license to obtain for support in the future. You can do so by accessing your license area at http://stackideas.com/dashboard

Hey Kevin,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've checked in your site, seems you have installed Easyblog 3.9 pagebreak plugins and causing this issue.

By the way, I have help you uninstalled your existing pagebreak plugin and install back 5.0 pagebreak plugin, after enabled the plugin and clear your Joomla cache, it work fine now, can you give it a try now?

Thanks so much.

Just so you know, those were the only versions of the plug-in I could find on your site — and the fact that you have a feature built-in (page break blocks) that doesn't work without a plug-in is rather silly, especially when the required plug-in isn't clearly available anywhere on your site.

It's something you might want to address.

You're welcome.

In Easyblog 5, you do not need to download the page break plugin from our site is because all the plugins and modules are automatically installed when you install EasyBlog.

Why I need to uninstall that existing page break plugin is because i suspect when you install Easyblog 3.9 page break plugin in your site, it actually override that Easyblog 5 page break plugin.

By the way, thanks for your input, we will include this into our documentation as well.

Alex,

Still regarding the page break issue — is there a way to disable the "article index" that shows up when you include a page break? It doesn't work at all (none of the links link to anything — they're all merged with the cover image) and it messes up my layout.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hey Kevin,

Hm, sorry but not entirely sure if I understand you here. Can you please elaborate more about what you are trying to achieve here with some screen shot?

Mark,

I can't do that now. When you updated me to the latest version, it broke the Page Break plug-in yet again and all of the page breaks on that post are gone.

Please restore the page break functionality, and then I'll see if there's still a problem.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hey Kevin,

I am not too sure what issue do you have with the Pagebreak plugin. Could you please at least let me know how I can reproduce this issue or perhaps provide a link to the page that has errors?

Mark,

It's the same post as before. Nothing has changed — except that one of your techs updated my installation to the latest version and all of a sudden my page breaks disappeared again.

hey kevin,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

Can you check my attached screenshot below and see is it you would like to remove that "article index" tab from your entry page?

If yes, I already applied some css to hide it in this file -> JoomlaFolder/templates/purity_iii/css/custom.css and enabled "Easyblog - page break" plugin, can you clear your browser/Joomla cache and reload your entry page and see how it goes?

Mark,

The issues aren't resolved. When you updated EasyBlog, it ALSO broke all of the changes I made to the email template for the email notifications. I need to get those back, please. The thread with those issues is locked so I can't reply to it.
