I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. We actually did thought about this and in fact, we actually did a couple of iteration internally but we realize that we are building software for the masses.

EasyBlog is being used by thousands of sites and by implementing something extraordinary, some might like it but some also would prefer the "standard" social buttons layout. Hence, we decide to leave this to the theme makers to actually design them themselves.

Perhaps in the future, we could actually add a new settings which allows you to choose the different layouts of these social buttons.
