when i add now friends they show but all the old ones are gone :/

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it does seem like there was a bug in one of the SQL query generated in the 1.3.9 update which actually deleted all the friends connection on the site

Do you have any backups available? Is it possible to restore from the backup? You would only need the #__social_friends table's data back.

Ok, downloading yesterdays backup from site ground, will see how it goes.

There have been new sign ups today will these be affected in any way ?

I have a zipped back up what do i need to do next ?
