Previous ticket -[#46400]

I had requested that
notifications of new posts
did not include an excerpt from the post as this defeats the object of encouraging them to visit the blog and read more posts.

You had informed me that this was taken care of and the problem solved. That appeared to be the case but when I published the latest post the old problem resurfaced.
Hi John,

I believe I have replied to your thread previously here, http://stackideas.com/forums/new-comment-notification . Please have a look.

We have actually added the settings to truncate the content of the blog's comment at your backend > easyblog > settings > notifications > comments > email settings, http://screencast.com/t/3G1fYwXjGQ and the settings by default is disabled so it won't affect other user's notification previously.

Try to enable the settings and see how it goes.

You are correct in that you have addressed the matter of the notifications of new COMMENTS. I am grateful for that that.

PLEASE notice that my concern is not about notification of new COMMENTS. It is about notification of new POSTS.

Notification of new POSTS should not include the entire content of the post for the reason previously stated.

Perhaps you can include the same functionality to truncate the notification of new POSTS as you already have for COMMENTS.

Hopefully you will understand more clearly this time. Thank you!

Hi John,

Ah I see. I am sorry for the misunderstood here. I will add this into the codebase so our developers can implement the settings for this in the next release of easyblog. Thanks for understanding.
