Just realised that on the general community stream a non logged in user sees...

You need to have an account to read the rest of the stream items. If you don't have an account yet, you will need to register first.
Log in or Register Now

...but on a user profile page this message is missing... (although it looks like the functionality is the same... in that if you login you get to see more!)

Whilst I'm here on this topic maybe the wording can be simplified in the core build if you don't mean... I always think the less words the clearer and easier for users if you don't lose the meaning and I think the above bold could become

You need to login to read more stream items.

Thanks for listening!
Hello Andy,

Can you try to download the attachment below and paste it inside your /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/profile/default.stream.php and see how it goes?

Regarding with the log in to see more message, you can edit the language string inside your /language/en-Gb/en-GB.com_easysocial.ini and replace the following string:

COM_EASYSOCIAL_GUEST_STREAM_LOGIN_DESCRIPTION="You need to have an account to read the rest of the stream items. If you don't have an account yet, you will need to <a href="%1s">register</a> first."

//replace with

COM_EASYSOCIAL_GUEST_STREAM_LOGIN_DESCRIPTION="You need to login to read more stream items."

Hope these help

Thanks. I'll try the attachment...

Re: the Language yes I'm aware I can change the language file (a better way actually is to use the inbuilt Joomla language overrides which survive upgrades) but I made that suggestion for improving the core build for everyone. Just a consideration.

Guys... just realised the same issue is also present on the events stream. You probably realised the fix needed applying to other things too... but just reporting again in case you didn't... so if you view an event page view as a non-logged in user then you'll see the stream up to a point... but then no indication that there's more to read if you login.
