Note!

ResolvedDear users,
We have heard your feedback and as most of you may have noticed, our new support forum area has been reworked to ensure the smooth workflow for you as a user to submit new topics and for us, as a moderator to assist you in our forums. Here's what has been done towards the forum:
UI Improvements
We have revamped the entire layout of the forum ensuring that you have better view of your post and replies.
Better Navigation
It was difficult to navigate around the forums earlier and I myself get lost in the maze. We have now replaced the existing toolbar (It is still experimental by the way) and allow easy navigation to different sections of the forum.
No more confusing categories!
I hate to say this but the previous category structure is just so tedious and I must admit that it takes over 5 seconds to figure out where you want to submit your posts to. To simplify all that, we're only sticking with a couple of categories whilst utilizing the tagging feature extensively.
Brag about your purchases
For our valued customers, we know that you want to have a more branded layout since you have subscribed to our plans. With the new forum layout, the purchases you made will be shown beneath of your post
Think of it as a special badge.

The new navigation is easier. Thanks!!
Whats missing now, which was unique and very comfortable, is the dynamic link to the own posts at the top (there was a red square with posts counter inside and a drop-down list to the updated topics).
Now, if I want to find my subscribed topics or my own posts, I have to go to my profile first (and I don't have any sign if there is anything new).
Also, in the main list of topics (when you click on one of the main navigation topics at the top), there is no publishing date. This is an important info (which does appear when you get to the list from other directions.
A clear mark for new items which were not open yet is also important.

Great Innovative design.

The start page of the forums is an excellent work.Previously we had to look for the category to see which category the discussion belonged to, now since the discussions are segregated based on categories it gives a more intuitive experience.
Now I don't see a subscribe button in the discussions.
Have you removed the subscribe button or still working on it?
Will this new design be made available to us?

I think it would help promote it. It's certainly one of the best I've seen...way ahead of the competition. -
Thank you :)

Sell it as a Premium Version template...I would certainly pay good money for this...we are looking for something for our internal protected school system....this is perfect as it is clean and simple. Hope you guys decide to release it as it would save me endless hours of customisation. Credit card is waiting...

I agree about ED taking too much space. ATM it's scroll scroll scrooolll.
IMHO they should create new template and name it "Compact". By compact I don't mean to cram everything in tightest possible space, just to cut off at least 50% of margins and current free space, and to reposition some elements.

I've been busy working on some feature Ideas that Extends EasyDiscuss like a Web Connection Kit for the Rest Of Us.

Thanks Randall
Sure, you could just send us your wish list / feature request list and we'll feed them into our feature request list. Of course, we'll need to re-evaluate on some of the features that you provide because sometimes programming is not just about getting things done, it still needs to be logical for the end user
