I am looking to facilitate more of an organized conversation within the Groups section. If a discussion is created, you get a nice page / thread of replies. But there is no way to reply or comment to another reply.

It would be great to see something like Komento's nesting within the Groups discussions.

Are there any plans for enhancements to Discussions? Is there a different app I can plug in to groups that would accomplish more of the functionality I am looking for?
Hey Cory,

Thanks for the heads up on this! Unfortunately right now we do not have any plans to "enhance" the existing discussion on EasySocial's group at this point of time but this does seem like it's a pretty worthy feature to be included in the future.

We are also considering integrating EasyDiscuss into EasySocial groups as EasyDiscuss has tons of rich feature and we don't want to reinvent the wheel again in EasySocial Group Discussions app

Thanks for the response. If I'm not mistaken, EasyDiscuss also does not allow for nested replies? Just the ability to quote further down the thread?

I do think Komento's nesting is nice. Hopefully we will see this at some point!

I would consider EasyDiscuss if it allowed for more of a conversation rather than traditional forum thread.

Hey Cory,

EasyDiscuss actually does allow you to comment on existing posts Take a look at the post here, http://demo.stackideas.com/easydiscuss/when-do-you-think-this-world-is-going-to-end

I missed this when I was playing with the demo last night. Thats great!

Would be nice if media attachment was possible in the comment field, but I'm sure you are working on that already : )

Hey Cory,

Our idea of commenting on a post is to keep it really simple rather than having all the bells and whistles. In fact, when we created EasyDiscuss initially, our intention was to use a simple textarea rather than complicated WYSIWYG / BBCode editors but later on slapped the bbcode because many users were requesting for it
