Hi

I have created the following custom fields using multiple drop box like below.

Cat 1
-- Cat A
-- Cat B

Cat 2
-- Cat C
-- Cat D

1. Can easysocial use custom fields as search facet and show in the left hand column ?
I have only seen "Browse by profile type"....
Also is it possible to show number of people who belong to each Facet?

2. If answer to "question1" is yes, Does easysocial offer nested faceted search like amazon?
For example, if I click Cat1- CatA in the left hand column, Cat2 still remains displayed in the left hand column and also shows number of people also selected Cat2- Cat C, D

3. If easy social doesn't support this feature, do you know any extension that able to achieve this?
Or is it on your roadmap ?

I am sorry for the late reply.
I believe, what you're trying to achieve is not possible. However, you can try using advance search. I have created the dropdown in the custom fields and using advance search, I can do searching. Here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/MMxNkWh7kg1h . I'm sorry, is this what you're trying to achieved?

Thank you, I am actually aware of the advance search.

What I need is to show pre configured faceted search using custom fields in the user registration form like the site below.

If not possible, How difficult is it to create a user directory, which is filtered by pre configured advance search criteria depends on the value in a specific field in the user registration form? ( I am not a developer, only understand basic sql script )

I would like to show good usability for users to find a good match depends on their various need rather than leaving it to users to explore...
