When the comments preferences are set to multiple comments (in my case the EB and Facebook), the system generates two empty <a id="comments> tags. (See attached file)
One comes from the default.php comments file and the other from the multiple.php comments file.
Though it is easy to override the files and delete the tags, since they are there and set by your original CSS to become invisible, I wonder if they are important somehow.
