Multi profile.

Like me I'm enabling multi profile on easysocial?

Example, the default user profile doesn't create blog,
the blogger profile you can create blog,

How do I enable the user permissions to create blog with easyblog.
Hello,

These are controlled in the ACL of EasyBlog rather than EasySocial. However, since each profile type in EasySocial can be associated with user groups in Joomla, you can make full use of this.

1. Assign a joomla user group for a profile type
2. Go to EasyBlog > ACL, configure the ACL for the user group respectively.

Hello,
Thank you very much for the fast reply.

the question is,
the default user cannot create blog,
in the future, if he wants to
How do I change it to profile or

Hello,

This is a pretty simplified version as it should be easy to do this, but if you are stuck, let me know

1. Duplicate the default profile type and call it "Author"
2. In that author profile type, assign the users from this profile type into "Registered User" and "Author" group respectively
3. Configure EasyBlog to allow postings from "Author" group in it's acl

Hi ManySelfies,

Here some of the steps that you can simply follow :

[Creating Joomla group for Default user and Blogger user]
1. Click Users>Groups>Add New Group (pic1)
2. Create for both Default user & Blogger user (pic2)

[Creating Profile Type for EasySocial for Default user and Blogger user]
1. Click EasySocial>Profile types>Click New button and assign it to respective Joomla group(pic3&4)

[Configure ACL for both group in EasyBlog]
1. Click EasyBlog>ACL>Blogger user>enable both(Allowed To Write New Post & Allowed To Publish Post )(pic5&6)
2. Click EasyBlog>ACL>Default user>disable both(Allowed To Write New Post & Allowed To Publish Post )(pic7&8)

Hope this helps

Hello, these options are enabled.
Maybe I didn't understand properly.

We need to enable and disable user blogger.

In the user profile, select if you want to be a blogger
By selecting YES, the user and entered in the access group blogger
By selecting No, the user and removed from access group blogger

Thank you!

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

In the user profile, select if you want to be a blogger
By selecting YES, the user and entered in the access group blogger
By selecting No, the user and removed from access group blogger

Unfortunately this is not possible to achieve this because user unable to select this create blog post permission. These only allow for Superadmin, unless you allow new member able to choose which Easysocial profile type their want to register to?

For example :
1. Admin created 2 profile type in Easysocial. e.g. default profile type and blogger profile type
default profile type - set `Registered` user group
blogger profile type - set `Author` user group

2.
Go to backend > Easyblog > ACL > select `Author` user group > Allow them publish/write blog post permission.
Go to backend > Easyblog > ACL > select `Registered` user group > Disallow them publish/write blog post permission.

So when the new user come to your site to register, they have to use which profile type their want to register in base on these 2 profile type description.
