MP3 audio "album" or gallery

First, I love Easysocial!!!!

Is it possible for users to upload MP3 files to an "album" or gallery in their profile and be Available for others to listen if set to public?

Can they be uploaded to the timeline/activity page?
If so, is it the file or the link?


Back info:
I am coming from WP and used Buddypress.
It had a plugin called Media Press that allowed Audio files, video files, pictures and docs to be uploaded into "galleries" that could be set to public or private.
These were not links. These were the actual files and populated into the appropriate player for immediate playback with no download or time delay.
Is this possible?
The same thing happened when the files were uploaded to the "timeline, news feed, activity feed"....whatever it is called....it was available to be played instantly right there...audio and video

Firstly, thank you for your kind compliments Appreciate it very much! Unfortunately right now albums in EasySocial is to only house photos that are uploaded within EasySocial.

You can however, upload mp3 and other files using the file upload on the story form (above the stream)

Thank you...but when I click the file icon and try to load an MP3 it acts like it is downloading and then says "file extension error" what am I doing wrong?
I have tried this with different files.

In EasySocial 2.1, we have audio support You are able to play mp3 audio files right from the stream or the audio listing.

Ooh! Now I can't wait.

I just downloaded the Nordmograph MyPlayer app. It's close to what I was looking for but not exactly. I hope your version will be more like what I was looking for! Just like when adding a video link and the video player shows, I want the user to just upload the mp3 file and then a PLAY button shows and when the user clicks it starts playback rather than download.

Does that sound like the support you will provide in 2.1?

I just saw your blog post about the 2.1 Alpha release. The audio support looks like it's going to be even better than I'm hoping for!
