Hi!

In your demo, when I open your site as guest at the leftside bar displays som modules:

But after I logged they replaced by profile widgets

How I can do same? How to configure to displays modules only for guests?
Those modules are positioned under the position of 'es-unity-sidebar-top' which is only available on the guest page.

Hi,

Yes unity has been deprecated. Do use the dashboard position instead. For example: es-dashboard-sidebar-bottom

I already have modules in es-dashboard-sidebar-bottom position and they displays in user dashboard.

But I need to display this modules only for guests. What should I do for this?

Hi,

Guest should also still see that.

The position is only a suggestion. Ultimately, it is a module and you can place it any where you want. And it depends on your site/menu-item/module set up.

Hi,

There is no difference between unity positions and dashboard positions. Those are just essentially "module positions". The setup relies on the module configuration.

Perhaps previously because your site configures Unity to show to guest, and Dashboard to show to logged in user? Unfortunately now we've deprecated the Unity view and only Dashboard is remained, and as such the module cannot achieve what you are looking for.

So, now I don't have this ability (to display modules only for guests)?

Is there any other way to do this?

Hi,

Unfortunately because Unity is deprecated.

Dashboard is the main view that serves for both guest and logged in user.

You can still hack the module to make it seens if user->guest == true. Anyhow there is a Voice section for request on the site and the guys listen a lot.

Hi,

As mentioned, the dashboard is currently both the "guest" area and "logged in" users area. The display of the dashboard changes accordingly to viewing user. In regards to module, if you are on Joomla 3, then you can set the access of the module to "Guest".
