The "group moderation" is currently tied to the user's access. In other words, if the user is in a profile that needs to be moderated, the group that they are creating will be moderated. I think this makes more sense when the paid subscription kicks in, in the future because you could purchase a plan that doesn't require group moderation

I understand. What do you suggest we do if we want to enable open group creation for all of the categories other than one which will need approval (for example a user can create a group in any category other than general, if they do create one in the general category it will have to be approved)?

Hi,

As Mark mentioned, currently only user in the profile with access set to moderate will need their created groups to be moderated.

Based on what I see in 1.2, it is possible to configure that a certain profile cannot create groups per category.

Navigate to [Backend] -> Components -> EasySocial -> Groups -> [Group Name] -> "Group Creation Access" and set the access there.

I second selective Group Creation moderation by category.
To explain the rationale: If we have 3 categories: 1) Company/Organisation 2) General 3) My City. Now out of these first two categories anyone can create a group(Auto Publish), but for third category group creation should be moderated (Before Publish) because otherwise there would be multiple groups for that city.

Anyone can select City category while creating the group, but it should go for admin approval, who in turn can check if there are other groups for that city and based on that he can publish the group.

I would strongly suggest to update the Voice section... namely to clear up feature already implemented and also fixed up the version on which this would been added (there are some version 3 and version 4 displayed... I suppose that this would be something to correct)

Maybe also delete duplicate feature as some were requested more than once.
