missing validation on forms

hi there,

1: the forms in easy discuss doesnt have a validation. why? if you write a long message and forget to entry your name and press submit is the message lost. that isnt customer friendly. could you please add a quick and easy form validation for "ask" and "comments"?

2: i use now Joomla 3.4 and i enabled the plugin system cache for faster site loading. i wrote a ajax routine to renew the visit counter, token and captcha-id. all works but the "refresh"-button on the captcha doesnt work if cache enabled. could you please check these. so that easy discuss works complete if cache enabled?

3: i use a 3rd party components named "Extrawatch" to track visitors. these component blocks the tabs on the easy discuss main page (all, new etc.). any tips that tabs also working with the other component?

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Please find the response to your inquiries below:

This is probably something that we missed out but we'll add a fix for this on the next release.

There is nothing can be done here unless your custom ajax routine is re-rendering the captcha codes again.

Hm, I am not really sure what extra watch is doing but if they are overlaying an element on the entire body of the page there isn't a work around for this unless you customize the plugin / module.

Dear Mark,

extrawatch isnt the problem for the unworking tabs. i disabled the 3rt party component and the issue is the same. i use "jch pro" to merge css and js files. possible that these are the problem. i can exclude inline javascript and js-files. do you use jQuery for that? Could you please tell me the part of the script that the tabs controlled?

Hello Rene,

Have you try to recompiled the stylesheet from the easydiscuss backend > easydiscuss > settings > layout > general? http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-02_1936.png

By the way the file that is responsible for the jQuery is from the /media/foundry/3.1/scripts/jquery.js

hi Ezrul,

i use the plugin "jQuery easy" to manage jquery. So on all pages are jQuery 1.11.1 available. i tried a recompile of the stylesheet. but this doesnt helped

Hello Rene,

It seems like when I accessing the direct url of your easydiscuss, https://www.vertragstresor.de/index.php?option=com_easydiscuss the tab is working.

However when I'm trying to access your backend, it redirect me to the homepage and I unable to confirm the fix. The provided FTP access are also not working for me as it giving me the error message below:
Response:	530 Login incorrect.

Error:	Critical error

Error:	Could not connect to server


Please advise

Hi Ezrul. all Login Information was correct. did you read the additional Information?

i think i found the reason. i wrote an Ajax script to refresh the discuss page all 30 sec via jQuery Ajax.get and jQuery replacewith. after the replace of dom elements the tabs clicking doesnt work. is it possible to fix that? or any plans for own auto refresh to load new postings and comments ?

Helle Rene,

I was able to go to your administrator log in area but after the logged in it will redirect me to your homepage instead of administrator area.

By the way may I know if your issue is resolved? I've tried to play around with the easydiscuss tab after each ajax call and it seems like everything is working fine from my side.

hi Ezrul,

i have reanabled the ajax script for now. And possible that you have forget to add the token to the admin-url. these information was in the additional info field

Hello Rene,

I've put the token both on before the protected area page, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-03_1850.png and after the protected area page which is joomla administrator log in page. After clicking the submit button it will directly redirect me to your frontpage.

However I think it is best for you to disable the customized ajax script instead so that easydiscuss tab will function normally without any issue.

Please note that any customization is beyond our support scope and I afraid we cannot assist you with the issue. Hope you understand
