When someone looks at a photo, unless you're a poster it's hard to know which date is which as seen here:

The first date says "14 July 2014" which is when the photo was taken. The second one says "3 months ago". To make it obvious to the viewer the first one should say "Taken 14 July 2014" while the second one should say "Uploaded 3 months ago". Adding this slight bit of text would make it obvious which date is which. At first I actually thought they were duplicate dates due to the format change and non specification of which was which.
