I wrote a feature request previously about having a gallery tab nicely laid out thumbnails with lightbox in a matrix, For each new blog entry the user can select a media folder. Now thinking further ahead, it would be nice to give some control if the default thumbnail size (max-height) and maybe the ability to add description to each photo like on facebook.
The further thinking is being able to pull individual photo thumbnails and description for use on the blog itself. Then user can have settings to align, left, right, middle, etc. But the main thing is the thumbnails are uniform throughout every blog! consistency is always best and makes it easier for user to not having to configure every photo!
