Hi all,

First of all thanks for another great extension. I've tried before EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss with success and now I'm implementing EasySocial and one more time I really love your work guys.

Now, I've a question about the custom fields on the profile types. I'm migrating users from Joomla. All of them had a checkbox on their profiles to allow me send newsletters based on Mailchimp and Akeeba subscriptions. I've configured the new EasySocial profiles with the custom field 'Mailchimp' but now I see by default the checkbox is not marked.

So the question is, can I mass assign this Mailchimp checkbox checked to my users? It doesn't matter if I have to do it with an sql query if it is neccessary... I need just a tip to start working on it.

Best regards,
Luismi.
Hi,

I am sorry for the delayed reply.
Please follows these steps to mass assign EasySocial users to Mailchimps newsletter. If you have done this, please ignore.
1. Export all your existing user from EasySocial. Backend > Components > EasySocial > Users > Export Users. It will stored in csv file.
2. Go to your Mailchimps > Lists > (easysocial list) > Add subscribers > Import Subscriber > Import from csv/txt > Upload the exported user from EasySocial.
3. Tick at Auto-update my existing list.
4. Check the column name. Mailchimps only needs email, full name and last name. You can skips the other column.
5. Complete import.

Regarding the checkbox, I believe there is no setting to check it by default. However, you can set it to be required, so that users are compulsory to check this Mailchimps newsletter.

Hope this can help.
