Unfortunately it is not possible to make the introtext as bold.

By the way, 'Read more' doesn't function. I can only choose the option to display only the first paragraph.

May I know if the the blog is composed using the composer or using the normal post? There are actually two types of truncation as you can see from the screenshot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-06-25_1322.png .
