I did a little customisation to put a padlock icon next to the menu bars icon when the user is not logged in... It then disappears when they are logged in.

It helps people realise that they go to the 'menu' to login.

Just mentioning it in case you consider it worthy of going into the 'core build' as an enhancement for everyone.
