I'm not sure if this is a bug, the intended workflow or an issue with the page cache but it seems like login errors only show up on the activity stream page.

If you use the log box module on top of another page e.g. marketplace and set the marketplace as the default page, login errors are not shown until you get the log in details correct and navigate to the activity stream / dashboard
Hi Greg,

Do you mean that whenever the login redirection is set to the user dashboard, the login will not work correctly as it should? If yes, may I have permission to change the login redirection setting on your site so we can have a better idea of the issue here?

No it has nothing to do with login redirection, just go to our site and enter random username and passwords you wont see any errors then enter:

Un: demo
Pw: password

then you will see the error after you log in

Hi Greg,

Ah, I see. I was under the impression that the login will always fail when login in from the homepage. My bad .

It seems like for some reason your frontpage is heavily cached and causing the error to not appear immediately. After I manually clear the cache from the backend right after I login incorrectly, the error message will show, https://take.ms/aMYXc.

Hope these help.

Just curious, do you know if there Is there an error popup for Joomla, maybe something that uses alert popups or snackbars?
I think that would solve the problem, rather than relying on the error messages in the page if we could get a snackbar in the side of the screen or something.

Hi Greg,

There are no such modules or plugin that can display EasySocial error message anywhere on the site. The error message generated from EasySocial can only be displayed through EasySocial currently, and it is not possible to show it as a Joomla error.
