Not so much a feature request or an issue, more of a fix/enhancement:

See here: http://screencast.com/t/6r3D1mrLd0

Would advise adding the following:
- View All (Followers)
- View All (Following)
- View All (My Groups)
- View All (My Events)
- Create a group button
- Create an event button

All of which should be quick easy additions.

Thank you,
James
Hello James,

We will see if we should include this in our repo. And I do think that the view all should also be displayed in other widgets. Maybe our developers have missed it.

Hello James,

I will note this down so it won't be missing again for the next release. And just to clarify here that I do agree on the View All links need to be added but for the create event/group button, we need to discuss about this because not many of our customers has request this to be added.

Just want to voice that I'm with James on this. I agree with keeping a simplistic style until it compromises one's ability to see everything. Viewing all is an important view for functionality reasons. Particularly people who own lots of pages. Perhaps it could display after the number of items exceeds the display limit?

Hi Josh,

Thanks for your suggestion. We'll take a look on this.

Have a nice day.

I agree with Josh, simplicity and consistency.

The Add a Group and Add an Event are equally important to me as this further promotes the use of the community software. If you look at Facebook, it is clear as day you can add a page, add an event or add a group on nearly every page you visit.

Thanks,
James

Just wanted to follow up on this. I haven't seen any changes since 1.3.20 and have seen (2) new updates.

Thanks,
James

Hey guys,

I've just re-looked at the codes and the view all is actually there It's not appearing for you simply because there is nothing really more to view. For instance, if you only participate in 3 groups and all 3 groups are shown on the profile, it wouldn't make sense to display a view all link?

The view all doesn't actually go anywhere apart from just displaying more groups on the profile page.

Hello James,

In the initial versions, we thought that it doesn't make sense to have create links on both group and events because when you are viewing another person's profile, it wouldn't actually make sense to display this since you are not creating group / event on behalf of the user that you are viewing.

Nevertheless, since you pointed this out, both done and done The view all link will also always appear all the time for friends, followers and photos.

For the group and event "add button" can you make it so that on your own profile they show but when viewing another user they don't?

To prevent the profile from getting cluttered, I have drawn up a mockup that would bring in the function you would want and feels pretty clean:

The add button would act as the "create group/event" link. Also notice that I removed the word choice "Browse" from the apps to make it consistent and cleaner.

Agreed. You can't install apps from other people's profiles, so to keep consistency the same should be true with groups/events.

Thanks Josh, I like the + sign's but I also feel like some people simply won't get it.

I see it all the time, people need things really dumbed down for them. For us the developers its pretty easy to know that we can do that but these people on our sites aren't always as savvy as we would like them to be. Either way is fine by me but I will definitely have to add some text.

Thank you both!

Ideally people should know how to create a group outside of their profile, the icon links on the profile is to make it easier. A few things to note is that if a blank span with a class is added inside the link it would be pretty easy to insert your own text. Also a language over ride is another option.

I suppose this could work:

However do keep in mind that we should be mindful of overwhelming the user with too many links in plain sight. I personally could go either way with the link method (text or no text next to the button).

I guess there are pros and cons of displaying the links but I do agree with James and Josh too Having mixed feelings here and I don't want to add another settings to either display icons or full text
