Hi,

I have small problem with auto posting to LinkedIn - I have it set to not post unless the box is ticked and this works fine when I post immediately, however when I schedule posts and still have the LI box unchecked I find that it posts to LinkedIn anyway.

I have set up a super admin account for you if needed, details in the form below.

Any help appreciated

Kind regards

Andy
Hello Andy,

Can I have your permission to create a blogpost and have it autoposting to LinkedLink to test this issue?

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Hi,

Of course anything you need to do to resolve the problem - let me know when you have done it and I can delete it as the posts go to our company LinkedIn page

Kind regards

Andy

Hello Andy,

Can you also please provide us with the LinkedIn Access so that we can take a look at the app that you have created?

Hi Mark,

Wasn't sure how I can give you access without giving you my personal log in details so I have attached a screenshot of the app

Kind regards

Hello Andy,

Can you please tick the access as per the screen shot here as well in addition to those that are already ticked? http://content.screencast.com/users/nikfaris/folders/Jing/media/586889a2-36b3-4d11-9ce2-e44638502c83/2014-01-16_1239.png

Hello Andy,

I am sorry for the late reply.
May I know is your issue is resolved?
rw_nus is used for retrieve and post updates to LinkedIn as you. OAuth is a standard for negotiating developer authorization and granting access on behalf of LinkedIn members to perform API requests.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Hi,

I just tried a test scheduled post with the LinkedIn box unchecked, so it shouldn't auto post to LI but it still does, so there is still an issue with autoposting to LinkedIn

Kind regards

Hi

I also just noticed that when I did the test post I also unchecked the facebook and twitter autopost boxes but it still posted to all 3 sites - so it appears there is an issue with auto posting scheduled posts still.

Kind regards

Andy

Hello Andy,

Did you enable the "centralized" option in the auto posting area? If that is enabled, then EasyBlog will automatically post it regardless if you check the checkbox.

Hi Mark,

Yes - see screenshot attached

When it isn't enabled I don't see the check box on the post screen so those posts I want to go to LI I can't - surely even if centralised posting is enabled it shouldn't post unless the box is checked?

Hello Andy,

I can't seem to login on the front end of your site with the provided login credentials. Can you please advise?

I can see that you are already logged in as a super administrator in the admin section - I don't use front end log in except for easy blog log in

Hello Andy, I've tried to make a test scheduled post from the frontend and unticked those 3 autopostings. This what I get in the backend: http://screencast.com/t/YcIG6lyp . It is not autoposted. Can you check your linked, facebook and twitter whether it is posted or not. Or it would be easier for us if you can provide us your social access so we can troubleshoot it. You can provide them in the Site Details below the reply form. Only Support team will be able to view it.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the screenshot - the post is showing as scheduled to post on Saturday 23rd August, so it's not actually published, but as soon as it publishes it will post to facebook, twitter and LinkedIn

Try scheduling a post for 10 or 15 mins in advance and see what happens

Kind regards

Andy

Hello Andy,

I've made a test post. Please have a look. By the way, can you provide us your FTP and linkedin access so we can easily troubleshoot and directly fix this (if needed)? Please advise.

Hi Nick,

Did you post this immediately or schedule?

I can't give you FTP access as our server is locked to all IP addresses except ours but you guys have done something in the past with a script that allows you access

Kind regards

Hi Nick,

Then it looks like it stopped posting to LinkedIn - I am going on vacation now so won't be scheduling anything for a week, so let me see how it goes when I return and if the problem pops up again I can let you know.

Many thanks for your help

Kind regards

Andy

Hi Guys, sorry to promote another companies software here, but if FTP is an issue, have you tried MijoFTP which is a freebie, and is installed on the server as any other component, but allows FTP access only via the admin panel

Hello Rich,

Thanks for the suggestion. But we would prefer to have a direct access to the FTP. This is because, let say, we have modified some files that crash the admin page, we can't access and repair the file since the page is already crashed.
