Hi - I have an image (the Sixt logo) set up with a link to get a quote or make a booking in a new tab but when it's clicked it doesn't do anything and I can't work out why. If I right click and select Open in New Tab, it works fine but won't just do it with a regular left click.

Must be something really stupid that I've missed but I just can't work it out. Can be found at the URL mentioned in the post.
Hello David,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.
Do you mean that when you click on this logo image, it doesn't show out anything right? -> http://screencast.com/t/9R0fuyeclnN
I have checked in your image file URL show ->
>> http://www.sixt.com/php/reservation/loginsec?q=yr5-3WK5GN0y30ubZt73Ls7jxzsJAKdRWgWHcYa4kh1OKSxs2h_WKQJibMC9D_Al

But when i right click to open another tab, then it will redirect to this URL ->
>> http://www.sixt.com/php/reservation/home?ctyp=P&language=en_US&tab_identifier=1393727797&AGIA=5121619&ctyp=P

Is it possible provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this?

Hi Arlex,

First of all there is no need to apologize - you replied in under 2 hours in the middle of the night on a Sunday - you guys are truly amazing.

You are right about the URL changing - I hadn't noticed that but it does happen. The important thing is that it logs us in so clients receive our contracted rates - you can see that this is working correctly from the image I have attached.

The details that you have requested are now included. Thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Best regards,
David

Hello David,

It looks like you have tried to replace the hyperlink for the image but the problem is that image is embedded with the capability of opening up the lightbox for images. Hence, clicking on it doesn't work. If you want to insert a custom hyperlink on an image, you shouldn't embed the image with the lightbox feature.

I have updated the blog post so that it would just be a hyperlink rather than trying to load the lightbox. Can you give this a try again?

Hi Mark - yes what you did worked except the page looked weird because the text didn't wrap around anymore.

I tried to "fix it" and hence broke it again getting it back to what it was before. Can you explain to me what you did? I did insert image but this time un-checked "Enable Lightbox" and now it doesn't work again.

What steps do I take to insert the image with a custom link, AND right justify so that text wraps on the left of the image?

Thanks for your help Mark.

Best regards,
David

Hello David,

You need to uncheck the "Enable Lightbox" and use the WYSIWYG editor tools to align the image to the right. But the problem here is not really an issue with the image alignment but because you are wrapping the image with a hyperlink, it seems to be displaying it in block. You need to add style="float:right;" on the anchor link that wraps around the image.

Sorry to revisit this guys but I am totally lost. Please see this page: http://rentalcarreviews.com/news/up-to-33-off-car-rental-with-hertz-global-sale

The image in the top right hand corner. I have disabled lightbox on the image, set float:right, set the link to open in a new window.......but on clicking it nothing happens. I can right click and "open in a new tab" but a single click does nothing.

What am I missing?

Hello david,

I have noticed that your image URL link is connect to another site URL, is it you make like this so when the user click this image, it will redirect to another page? (check my screenshot below.)
Also, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access again? because you provided that login credential before is not working now.

Hi Arlex - yes, it's correct. It is an affiliate link to Hertz car rentals. It should open a specific page on Hertz.com in a new window.

I have put the details requested in. Thanks for your help.
