Hi,

On my blog, I posted a lengthy article containing glossary. On the blog, it shows tons of text. I'd only like for the first few definitions to appear. How can I do this? Can you please send me a link to instructions?

Here's my blog link: http://merryweatherfoam.com/easyblog/latest
Hey Evan,

If you want the automated truncation to kick in, you need to enable this in Settings > Layout > Truncation . Under the right section, you'll see "Automated Truncation (Normal Posts)". You need to turn on the option "Truncate blog content as introtext".

Hi,

Can you please take a look at my blog again?

The main article (about dunnage racks) does not seem to be truncated. I did update EasyBlog to the latest version before the post of the article, but my settings looked fine.

See attachment for my settings.

Likewise, I don't understand why "hits" are showing? I've disabled them under each section (posting, catagory, etc), but it still shows.
Can you help me please?

Hi Evan,

May I know what editor you are using to compose your blog post here, http://merryweatherfoam.com/easyblog/latest ? Can you pass me your Joomla backend and FTP access as well so we can check on the settings directly?

Hi Evan,

Seems like you are using "default" themes for your easyblog instead of "wireframe" themes where "default" theme are actually from easyblog 3.9 and already outdated. I've change it to wireframe theme and the truncation is working correctly now. Please have a look.

Ezrul,

Thanks for figuring that out. One more question: I think I have the settings right to show images on the truncated post, but they do not appear. See my settings below....

Hi Evan,

Since your existing blog post is a legacy type, you need to adjust the settings on the right side of the page as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/cnOCpmhQvp18 .
