Hi,

I have asked about this in another thread but think its got lost in it as it was part of a couple of questions. So I have created this new one.

I am using Latest blogs on my front page and want to display the content image to the left of the posting. I am sure I used to be able to do this before?
I have tried set the Photo to Show in module settings, but nothing happens.

If it is not possible to do this with the easyblog module, could you recommend another component that would do this - other than roksprocket which no longer works with easyblog?

Kind regards
Hello Mel,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Are you using EasyBlog 5? In EasyBlog 5, the modules are now responsive and it uses a fluid width for the blog image.

I guess the reason why you are not seeing any images associated with the post is because you did not set a "cover photo" for your blog post. All you need to do is to set a cover photo and the image would appear.

In EasyBlog 5, we are focusing more on the quality of the content that is being distributed to users and this also means that we need a proper image being associated with the blog post. In EasyBlog 3.9, it was called blog image but it wasn't enforced to use blog image as we still scan the contents to look for the first image in the post but it is extremely heavy to actually scan every single content for a an image and there's no real way to manipulate the embedded images.

Hi Mark,

thanks for your response.

Yes, I am currently on easyblog 5.09 (afraid to upgrade to 13 as there still seems to be issues being reported and my site is now live - I did try upgrading to 11 yesterday, but had problems accessing the blog with error messages relating to revision of content so I reinstalled earlier version. Is it safe to install 13 now?)

So basically we would have to add cover photos every time a new blog was posted? This probably wouldn't work then with feeds as they wouldn't have a cover photo in the import? Its a shame, as the images make it look better.

Yes, from the imported feed, it will not automatically add in the cover.
I think you should wait for 5.0.14 version, because we got fix a lot of issues.
