Hi
last week you updated our easydiscuss to latest verssion and since thenwe have 2 problems:

1. when user ask new questions the component shuld send email only to the admin and not to register users but the component send mail to the super admin and also pick randomaly 1 registerd user and send the email to him also.

2. when the admin answer question the component shuld send email to the user that ask the question but the user that ask the question get no email, this happend if the user that post questions post as guest.

before the update it works 100% and after the update this 2 problems cames.

please help to fix it

1. your solution is good for replied answer, but we want to send email when the answer is chosen as accept answer (Notify owner when answer is chosen). in this option the component doesn't send email for public users, only for register users. (the public users fill there name and email in the question).

2. Is it possible to cancel the sending of 'you answer correctly' to the admins when choosing the correct answer.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

1. we want to send email when the answer is chosen as accept answer (Notify owner when answer is chosen). in this option the component doesn't send email for public users, only for register users. (the public users fill there name and email in the question).

Currently it is not possible to send notification email to public user with the current system of easydiscuss.

2. Is it possible to cancel the sending of 'you answer correctly' to the admins when choosing the correct answer.

I am not quite sure if I understand you here. Can you elaborate more regarding on this question? Please advise.

2. The system sends an email with the answer the questioner and also snd mail to the admin that answer the question.
it is the 'email.reply.marked.answered.html.php' mail.
Is it possible to disable it sending Administrators that mail?

Ah I see. Do you mean that when Admin post a reply to the discussion and that reply is marked as answered, the notification will get send to the Admin that posted the reply? By right it is a correct behavior where reply owner should always be notified when their answer is marked correctly. If you want easydiscuss to not send email notification when admin answer is marked correctly, unfortunately it is not possible to do so.

hi,
i see in the email activities that the system doesn't send email to the owner.
we set the 'Notify owner when replied' as u wrote.
There are users that the system sends emails and use the system does not send out emails.
Please check it.

I've performed some test discussion and reply and it seems like the notification did get sent out correctly. Check my screenshot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-07-07_1711_001.png . You can also see the the last page of your backend > easydiscuss > email activities, where the reply email is sent out correctly, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-07-07_1713.png .

hey,
I saw that really your e-mail was sent, apparently I have a problem with one manager answering system does not send a reply email the person who asked the question. While another manager who reply, the system sends reply mail. Really a serious problem with your component.

May I know which user manager that are having the issue currently? If possible kindly provide the access of that user so we can check it directly to find the possible cause of the issue. Please advise.

hey.
we write in the site details the login for the administrator.
please check in the email activities that the admin only get the mail, but the user who ask didn't get the mail.

Hello Moni,

May I know which is the user that when replying to another user's question, the reply email is not sent to user that asking the question? I just tried to use a test user under registered user group and post a question and your site. And then I use the provided credentials to reply to that question and I did get email notification correctly.

Please advise.

Hey.
I look at the Email Activities to know how many emails were sent and where.
I have not seen you sent e-mails during the day. Anyway you should look there and do tests, because I noticed that the problem is with all managers. Not like I thought before.
There are times when the user who asked the question gets an email and times not.

At easydiscuss mail page, you need to go to last page to see the newer email that are being sent out. Check my screenshot here where my reply email is sent out and it showing in easydiscuss email activity at page 10, http://screencast.com/t/3WOq8rNfx . I also just created a new question and reply it accordingly, and I got the reply email correctly without any issue, http://screencast.com/t/moZrF5nP8yQG .

Not quite sure what is the real issue here.

hey,
I got the problem. Once the admin edit the question (sometimes the questioner spelling errors), then the system does not send more email to the user. If the administrator has not edit the question then the system is working properly and sending mail to the user.

Is it possible to fix that the admin edits the question, system will send an email to the user?

Ah I see. Currently Easydiscuss does not send notification email when user editing their replies and currently it is not possible to altering this behavior. I hope you understand.

mybe i need to explain again.
sometimes there is new question with spelling errors and the admin need to fix the spelling errors befor answering the question, in this case the user that ask the questio not getting the email.

is it possible to fix it (the site manager d'nt want question with spelling errors in front).

Hey Moni,

It doesn't make sense to send notification emails twice. If you are making edits more than 10 times, the user would be notified every time you edit and save the reply.

hey,
maybe u didn't anderstand me. the system doesn't notification emails when the admin edit the question. the admin edit one time the question. It is look like a bug when the system disconnects the user and doesn't send notification emails when someone edit his question.

If u can't fix thix bug we will figure it out.

Of course there is no reason EasyDiscuss will send an notifications when I'm editing.
The problem is different, when I answer a question the system sends an notifications to the questioner, but if I had edit the question (such as I fixed his spelling error) and then replied the question, the system does not send notifications to the questioner.
This is a bug in my opinion should be corrected.

Hey Moni,

I am a little lost here. Regardless if you edit the question or not, as long as there is a new reply submitted for the question, the user will get notified. The question now is did you reply to the question or did you edit the question and wanting the system to notify again?

Hey, You begin to understand the problem.
The system should send notification, if i edit the question or not. But we noticed that the system doesn't send notification when we edit the question befor. (and when we didn't edit the question the system send).
You had make tests without edit the question, thats why it work properly, but please make test and ask a question, and edit it with admin user, and then replay. u see that the system will not send the notification.

Thank you for the heads up on this issue. We are still working on with the fix and hopefully the fix will be made ready anytime soon. Regarding on the "favourite" a post, unfortunately it is not possible to do so currently. You can post this idea in our easydiscuss voice page instead so that other people can vote for it too.
