Hi. I'm using Easy Blog on my site.

Now on my Blog page, when you click on a blog post it's displaying the URL properly

http://www.ronindesigns.com.au/blog/here-is-post-number-3

However, on the Homepage I'm using the Latest Blogs module to generate a list of the latest posts. However when you click on the post link, you don't get the friendly SEO formated URL you get this

http://www.ronindesigns.com.au/blog?view=entry&id=3

Pretty much I need the URL to display cleanly as

http://www.ronindesigns.com.au/blog/here-is-post-number-3

Is there any way to fix this in the Latest Blogs module?
Hello Evan,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Hey Arlex, that's working great! Thanks.

Just to be clear that the change was done to the Latest Blogs module? So if I update to the latest version of Easy Blog in the future, it won't overwrite the fixes you've done to the module?

Also will future versions of the module have this fix?

Cheers

Hello Michael,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I have checked your site and it seems like the module's routing behavior isn't configured correctly. I have configured this for you and the link should work fine now. This was the missing settings, http://screencast.com/t/UbB37M7MSv

Hello,

We are using the latest module 3.9.1 and we are experiencing this same behavior. I assume the fix is included in this package?

The Routing Behavior is also configured properly and point to the menu item (only one) with the EasyBlog Front Page. We even reinstalled the module and re-saved the settings. We played around with other Routing Behgavior but they don't match the actual blog post URL that

Example:

URL should be: https://www.skylaservices.ca/blog/entry/bangkok-food-truck-new-website
Module Links: https://www.skylaservices.ca/blog?view=entry&id=17

Module is located on homepage , scroll down a bit.

Please Advise

Thanks! That did it! I guess the fix mustn't be in the latest package yet. We have a few sites that we noticed this problem so I'll apply the fix on them also.

Cheers!

Hi

I also had the same problem even with the 3.9.19025 release but with the affordmentioned mod_latestblogs.php file the problem has been fixed too (blog module on the http://www.pulsar-informatique.com homepage)

It would be safer if the official release contains the fix

thanks a lot

Hi Chris,

Have you tried download the file attached by my colleague?

If the issues still persists, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you check on this? It is best for you to create a new thread on this issue because this can minimize the confusion between both of us.

Please advise.
