Has the language file for the EasyBlog Showcase moved? I've seen the few forum posts talking about changing the default wording for Showcase "View more blog entries", that state:

"You can change it at this file below:
language/en-GB/en-GB.mod_showcase.ini"

But this file is not in my root language folder. See screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/EoLGtUoj

I also changed it within modules/mod_showcase.ini, but changes here do not seem to have any effect either.
Hello Marc Fragale,

May I ask whether are you using the EasyBlog 5 Beta 1, If Yes,
Thank you so much for your support

MOD_SHOWCASE_VIEW_MORE_LATEST="View more blog entries"
can be located at Line 10
JoomlaFolder\language\en-GB\en-GB.mod_easyblogshowcase.ini

Do you mind to let me know whether this guide help you out?

Ethan,

Thanks for getting back to me.

But, no, I'm still using EasyBlog 3.9 as this will be a production site shortly. (we plan to use 5 in the future)

In any event, the file you mention is not in my directory either. Please view screenshot sent http://screencast.com/t/EoLGtUoj

Any other ideas?

Hello Marc,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a long weekend off for us here in Malaysia. On EasyBlog 3.9, the module's name is actually mod_showcase. In other words, the language file that is being rendered is en-GB.mod_showcase.ini . Is the file available?

On EasyBlog 5, we have renamed the module from mod_showcase to mod_easyblogshowcase to standardize the module naming convention.

Mark,

Please view my original post, where I mention:

"I also changed it within modules/mod_showcase.ini, but changes here do not seem to have any effect either."

So, although I was able to find the file and make the changes, these changes have NO EFFECT on the actual presentation.

Screenshot backend: http://screencast.com/t/sxxRNZwN frontend: http://screencast.com/t/wAHUKbgwTwS

My installation of EasyBlog 3.9 does not show a file named mod_showcase or mod_showcase.ini in the root GB language directory.

Hello Marc,

Thanks for getting back to me on this. In your screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/wAHUKbgwTwS , is this a module or is this the featured section in the front page layout?

Perhaps you could try editing /language/en-GB/en-GB.com_easyblog.ini and try to locate the string COM_EASYBLOG_FEATURED_VIEWMORE ?

Mark,

No, it's not a featured section. It's the EasyBlog Showcase module.

Hello Marc,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Ah I see. It seems like the language file for showcase module is located at /modules/mod_showcase/en-Gb.mod_showcase.ini.

Erzul,

Thanks for trying to help out on this. But, I've mentioned earlier in the thread that changing this particular language file is not having any effect on the EasyBlog Showcase. Here's another screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/ehmNB72WhGkC

Hello Marc Fragale,

May I know that is this the Test Result that required?
Test Result:
http://screencast.com/t/lCCXUcs8V

In your JoomlaFolder//httpdocs/language/en-GB , there a file en-GB.mod_showcase.ini once entered it's name changed to en-GB.mod_showcase.ini 2. (It's there a hidden file in place?)
Picture Guide:

http://screencast.com/t/y3N1bjRPt

Will it be fine that I help you to rename the "Testing" to your desired text?
I sincerely apologize that I leave the "Testing" behind, it can be uncomplicated during search of
MOD_SHOWCASE_VIEW_MORE_LATEST="Testing"

Ethan,

I'm not sure if I understand your question, but I have not created any hidden files intentionally. If I create any backup files, I typically copy and append the name with "ORIG" for example, template-ORIG.css (as a backup to template.css).

If you could rename "Testing" to "View More Remnants", that would be great. I'd also like to know where this file is, so I can change it again if need be.

Thank you.

Ethan,

Well for some reason I was able to see the file while looking in a different FTP program "Transmit" and was able to edit it to my needs. For some reason the file is hidden (still) from my view in a different program "Coda". Very odd, but thank you for helping out with this.
