Getting the error show below on every blog post. The post goes through, but this problem causes you to have to cancel the post process instead of taking you back to the new post page.
Hey Mark,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. After almost debugging your site for 8 hours, I finally found the problem! Someone implanted a "malware" in your Joomla core file!

They have hacked the file /includes/defines.php and if you take a look at my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/IbOVhx0bgcB . These was their codes.

I have replaced it with the original codes from Joomla and these AJAX responses works fine now.

P/S: The only reason that it affects AJAX calls is because their codes were messing with the AJAX script but it doesn't affect your normal page load. However, on every request of your site, these codes are actually hidden (not visible)

The text makes no sense to me, but I included a copy:

Hey Mark,

It seems like something is enforcing the AJAX requests to return a text/html in the headers. EasyBlog / Komento actually sends json data back but because of this, it's actually messing around with the AJAX calls.

Did you installed any plugins recently or did the webserver changed any settings recently?

I need the ftp access to find out which plugin is trying to reset this.

I used Akeeba to do a backup and built the site on a local Linux server. I'm not having any problems on the local.
I'm in the process of trying it on a Windows server also.

I don't know if this issue is related to http://stackideas.com/forums/lost-jce-on-easyblog

I dug through my extensions and plug-ins on the live site. I can't recall if I installed any new ones over the last two weeks.

No problems on local Windows server either.

Is it possible to have malware or malicious software on my hosting server?

I've been doing some digging as best I can and I wanted to show you something that I've noticed before. The first time it was presented in Kunena. I had to delete a category to keep a faint background with text showing up on a post. Just deleting one category and creating a new one "seemed" to make the problem go away.

I saw it today on one of my EasyBlog posts from quite a while back that I was experimenting with adding comments. I visited that same blog post on both of my local servers, that background is not there.

I've disabled numerous modules and plug-ins, trying to fix this thing. I checked the dates of the extensions and tried everything I could find with a Feb-16 date.

I really think I've got a bug. If you want, you can dig through the server via FTP.

My plan.... unless you find something first, is to delete all the files on the live server and rebuild the site again with Akeeba. I had to do this about a month ago for another problem and I think some dead-weight files are remaining during the rebuild.

As a side note (and most likely another support post): On the live and remote sites, when I want to delete a practice comment, I get the "Delete Comment" pop-up, but when I hit it..... nothing happens, the window just stays in view. The comment is gone after a page refresh.

I cannot thank you enough. I would of never found that.

Your support is beyond exceptional. Over the last three weeks, you've helped me through two very difficult problems. I will continue to use and promote StackIdeas products as the best around..... which they are.

Thank-you.
