Any suggestions on nice, simple template that works well with EasySocial? And more importantly, is easysocial or any of your components use twitter bootstrap resources? I only took a quick look at the HTML in the demo, I didnt see any class="span#" bootstrap type stuff, so maybe your components are bootstrap agnostic?

I've build a joomla template for BS3 but it takes too much work overriding each component view for BS3 instead of BS2. I'd like to avoid any extra work and have a nice, clean install and a template that works well right out of the box.
Hello Marco,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. EasySocial is currently built on Twitter Bootstrap 2 but we'll be trying to introduce a new theme in EasySocial 1.2 which utilizes Twitter Bootstrap 3

Sounds good Mark. Does Joomla 3.2 use bootstrap 2 or 3? Just a question out of curiosity.

Josh - Joomla 3.2 uses bootstrap 2.3.2, and implementing BS3 has been a huge pain. Loading your own bootstrap resources in a custom template isn't a huge deal. The challenge is (A) components and (B) upgrading other scripts. Once you start upgrading one thing, you start upgrading others, and before you know it you've got 50 HTML overrides and running into other JS issues.

You're stuck bw a rock and a hard place. Joomla should upgrade, or give the choice, for BS3... but I dont know. If you stick with BS232 then you're going to eventually be outdated. If you upgrade, you're going to be screwed everytime you install another component.

MARC - that's for the reply on the weekend. Two more questions. Is EasySocial 1.2 still expected to be released this month? And, are either EasyBlog or Discuss ready for bootstrap 3?

Hello Marco,

There has been delays for 1.2 release (Due to the holidays and multiple events which we had to attend) but as it is right now I can't provide any ETA for this yet Once EasySocial is moved on to Bootstrap 3, we'll move the rest to Bootstrap 3 but it's pretty tricky for EasyBlog because it wasn't built on Bootstrap by nature

OK thanks Mark. Sounds like the release might move into January... 1.2 has some fundamental components we are really excited about and looking forward to. We're proposing EasySocial as the online social platform for a BIG community project in our city, but we only need to demo the registration process and profiles by mid-January. I guess running a demo on the current version and just upgrading the template and component afterwards isn't a huge issue.

Looking forward to the next release! Thanks for your quick replies:)
