Is it possible to migrate from Jomsocial to Easysocial?
Hi Erik,

Yes, EasySocial already has the built-in JomSocial migrator.
This migrator allow you to migrate your user's fields data, user's avatar and cover photo, user's albums and photos, user's conversation, user's points and user's connection

Hope this help and have a nice day

Can it migrate groups and events also?

And I heard that Easysocial is getting videosupport in version 1.4, is that right? And if so will it be able to migrate Jomsocial videos then also?

Hello Erik,

Yes, it is able to migrate Groups and Events from JomSocial as well Yes, that's correct! When 1.4 supports videos, you will be able to migrate them over as well.

Ok that's good! Will 1.4 be out before the end of the year?

And does the migrator leave the Jomsocial data as it is? For example does it move images to its own Easysocial folder on the server and also leave the images in the old Jomsocial folder?

Hello Erik,

Yes, it will "copy" photos from JomSocial over. It will not erase any data on JomSocial

Hello Carrillo,

You could actually run both EasySocial and Jomsocial simultaneously. So what you could do is to:

1. Install EasySocial
2. Run all the migration from Jomsocial to EasySocial
3. View EasySocial to see if all the data are properly migrated.
4. Once you are happy with the results, remove Jomsocial and start using EasySocial

If you have any issues with EasySocial at all, please let us know
