I recently purchased Jomsocial Group Blog Plugin. The installation is fine but, when I go into Joomla > Extensions > Plugin Manager > System - Group Blogs and turn on the plugin, I immediately get a HTTP 500 Server Error and have to restore my site to fix it.

Please advise?
Hey Keith,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. It looks like you don't have EasyBlog installed on your site. For the plugin to work, you need to have EasyBlog installed but it looks like you don't have an EasyBlog license.

Am I missing anything here?

Thanks for the weekend support Mark. Much appreciated.

I was not aware that I needed and additional module.

So I will need to purchase EasyBlog first, install it and then go back and install the group plugin correct? IS there anything else I need to be aware of that I may have missed?

Hello Mark,

Ok, so I got everything installed. (EasyBlog & the Jomsocila Group Blogging plugin).

But, I'm not sure if it's working properly or if I'm making a mistake.

I see that there are three test blog entries. However, when I click on a Club (actually a group, we call them clubs here) I do not see and blogs listed as shown in the attachment.

Any suggestions? Feel free to access the site if you need to. I belive you have the information already.

BTW,

We moved the “Blog menu” item to show up as “Club Blog” just underneath the Club (or group) cover photo.

I've checked in your blog post, it seems like you didn't have assign your test post to post in your Jomsocial group.

To fix this, you have to click on Author section from the right panel, then click on `Association` tab and select which Jomsocial group you would like to post to.

You can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Hope this will help.

Thanks for the support Arlex. However, when I add a blog the "Associations" tab is not appearing. Any suggestions? See the attached screen shot.

Hello Arlex,

Could you please take a look at the screen shot above and tell me why I do not see the "Associations" tab?

Hi Keith,

The feature with the Author and Associations tab is actually a feature that is enabled only if:
1. You are the site admin.
2. You enable the "Moderate All Entries In Dashboard" settings for the respective user group in the ACL as shown in the attachment
3. The user is part of a blog team(Refer to 2nd attachment for the Team Blog sample).

P.S: The "Moderate All Entries In Dashboard" is essentially an option to give Moderator features to a user so it should be enabled carefully only to the intended user group.
