For Silver and Gold Members of Jevents. Geraint has released a beta version for integrating Jevents with EasySocial. Note it is installed as an application within EasySocial.

I've started testing - would be great if other users could test as well. You can find the download within the Silver/Gold section of the jEvents user forum.

Easy Social Integration - Test Version
Postby Geraint » Fri Aug 29, 2014 12:45 am
Please find attached a test version our EasySocial integration for JEvents.
This is a work in progress and not all features are implemented yet so your feedback and testing experience would be most welcome.

My initial reaction to jEvents components - they seem to be more "solid" than some of the other solutions built for Joomla based on what I'm looking for...

Why I'm starting to work with jEvents:

1. RSVP, event invites, event attendance tracking, etc. including Ticketing (with integration into Hikashop, etc.) This also gives one shopping cart system for both tickets and other online store items. Hikashop has front end store / vendor management which makes it much easier to train customers how to manage their online store presence. Note I tried jTicketing but it has it's own shopping cart - with no integration to Hikashop. Having two shopping carts on the same site is confusing for our end users.
2. Advanced event management (re-occuring events, etc.) Looking forward to EasySocial Event integration into jEvents calendar. jEvents also has a very strong / granular control of who can create/edit/view events. I also looked at Calendar Planner but it does not yet have control features to limit who can create or view events from the front end. It's all or nothing.
3. Resource Management - Location & People management within the context of events. Logic to find double bookings, etc.

Anyone else using or looking forward to this integration of jEvents with EasySocial 1.3+? Please let me know if you think I should consider other options as well...

Thanks!
