I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,
I have tried to reproduce on your issues, but it seems like working fine for me when i disabled this Displaying Gender setting from backend, the gender is not display on user profile page and without hitting this 2 error. check my screenshot below and see is it i missing something here? Please advise.
