Is there a way to make loading the jquery library optional? Joomla 3 loads it by default, and I've disabled it in other apps that are supposed to load it, but I see this (with proper script tags, obviously):

script src="https://app.mysite.com/media/foundry/4.0/scripts/jquery.js

It's loading a different version of jQuery as well: "jQuery JavaScript Library v1.11.1pre" vs. Joomla's "jQuery v1.11.1"

Joomla's jQuery loads after this, with noconflict mode enabled, so I doubt it's conflicting, but I don't see the point in loading two different versions (especially since EasySocial's looks like a pre-release version of jQuery 1.11.1)
Hello RA,

I am sorry but that is not possible currently because we are running a different version of jQuery as Joomla and we have also customized it to be rendered differently to avoid any $ sign conflicts

Interesting. I have a problem where the Easy Blog - Posts List module broke recently and no longer takes a person to the blog that they select. It also modified the appearance adding white space above and below the blog posts listed. I had opened a ticket here and was told that the issue was caused by the template. But, my template house says that problem is caused by the second version of jQuery being loaded by EasyBlog. I will update the other forum post with the details. This is a link to the other discussion in this forum:

Sean, you have already created a ticket on the forums and rather than cross posting your issues multiple times (I have no idea why you are doing this), it's best to just stick to your thread to speed up our replies.

Posting your same issues multiple times across different threads really doesn't help.

Sorry.
I did not expect an answer in this thread. :-)
And, thanks for the reply in the other thread.
