I searched the forums, looked at the FAQs and read the documentation and couldn't find an answer for this. We would like to have a single user profile on our site, which also has a built-in user profile page. Having 3 different profiles to manage would make for a strange user experience and we would like to use a single one across the entire site. It could be the EasyBlog or EasyDiscuss one, but we would prefer to not have both.
Hello Robert E Wallace,

Yes, example If you would like your Easydiscuss user profile integrate with EasyBlog, then you have to go to your backend > Easydiscuss > Setting > layout > avatar >
Profile Picture Integrations - Easyblog.

If you're not referring this, please provide us more details on your requirement. Please advise.

That is not what I'm referring to. What we want is to be able to click on 'profile' in either EasyDiscuss or EasyBlog and have it go to the same profile page. Simply linking avatar photos is not sufficient, we want the user experience to be a single profile page, shared between the two components so profile information only needs to be added/edited in one place.

Hello Robert E Wallace,

Sorry for late reply to this,
By default the system only show "My profile" link in EasyDiscuss when you click the drop down button, if you would like the user click the "Edit profile" directly go to Easyblog edit profile page, then you try download my attachment file here and replace in this file (Remember backup the original file first)
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easydiscuss\themes\simplistic\toolbar.php
And see how it goes.

I need something similar - and, from reading other threads it seems I am not the only one. Using EasyDiscuss and EasyBlog together on the same site, I'd like one profile page which shows information from EasyBlog (biography, blog entries, etc) and ALSO information from EasyDiscuss (questions, replies, etc). All this should be viewable and editable in the same place, and share the same information (nickname, avatar, etc).

Could you please advise how this might be done?

(PS - No, I don't want to use EasySocial because I'm not after a social networking look or functionality.)

Hello Zelena,

I am sorry for the late reply.
I believe this feature is not available in the current system for combining both EasyBlog and EasyDiscuss profile in the same edit page. However, this customization is possible to be done you need to be able to tweak the code to achieve this. I am really sorry but we are actually quite tied up with our own internal development and we wouldn't be able to assist you with these customizations right now If this is a priority, please do post them on our sales section at https://crm.stackideas.com and our sales department would get back to you with a proper quote.

Please be advise.
Thanks.
