Is this possble to do with EasySocial?

4. JUsergroups Selection
Where Joomla! lacks. We have a solution. Allow users to select their Usergroup at the time of registration.
Hello ssnobben,

I am sorry but currently EasySocial does not have a field that allows user to select the Joomla user group during registrations. However, it's pretty similar if you try to create different profile types on your site and assigning each profile type to the respective Joomla user group.

In other words, when a user registers on your site, they would then be able to select from a list of profile type that they want to register with

Hello ssnobben,

Hm, not really sure if I understand you here about "dynamic profile fields for groups". What does this do?

Hi

what I mean is when register you can select different group types that you customize for each group meaning that you have different dynamic form fields for different Joomla groups in the reg process. This should be a core function in EasySocial really...

Like if you have a e-commerce site and would like to have different fields for a companies profiles and private consumers users. Or languages etc

Then at registration process you can have two different groups with some different forms for these groups. Like you don't use the Company, VAT field for the reg group private consumer etc

So when you select a specific group at registration just some specific form fields is populated for just that group. Some fields is the same for both groups but some fields is just belonging to one group.

This is very important for setting campaign management where you want to send email to just specific uses and set that email based on some fields in the user profile for certain user groups. This is just one example of usage...

Example of group registration Joomla page.

One company using it: https://ovasolution.com/user_registration.php
From this Joomla addon
http://ordasoft.com/os-simple-membership-joomla-membership-extension

Here is maybe the best Joomla extension also that can do this.
Joom Profile( Registration Validation ) I think this is already in EasySocial..

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/clients-a-communities/user-management/26715

And this guy I know he doing some good extras
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/owner/Function90

Hope you understand what I mean now !

Hello,

Hm, this is actually what profile types are for in EasySocial. With profile types, you can associate different custom fields for different profile types.

Hi

yes that is good but that doesn't do the whole job of getting to the core of what I mean.

Registration for different user groups at registration with a flow of dynamic updated custom fields for different profile types.

Hope you can make this happen with EasySocial bcs thats the job that EasySocial should do and would be a priority!

pls see other extension with the links and I think you understand what I mean...

Hello ssnobben,

I am sorry but I am still a little lost here. Since you can have different custom fields appear for different profile types, how does it differ from what you are trying to achieve? Could you please enlighten me a little here?
