I had disabled the option of "location detection" of my Komento component, but I still find following code in the HEAD part of my webpage source code:

<script src="http://maps.google.com/maps/api/js?sensor=false" type="text/javascript"></script>

Since ALL Google sources had been banned by China GWF, when this code trying to load Google Map API, it makes my webpage very very very slow!

I hope there is an option to totally disable this code, if I had disabled "location" related options of Komento.

Thanks.
Hello,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I have just tested this locally and when the "Location Field" is turned off, google maps are actually not loaded. Not really sure how to reproduce this.

Hi, you replied very quickly. Thank you.

If you can not reproduce this, maybe, other extension(s) on my website had output that code to load Google map API.

I will try to find some clue to solve it.

Thank you.

OK, now I can confirm that it is not Komento which had loaded that Google maps code. I made a test to verify this: I disabled Komento for that page (com_hwdmediashare) , then refresh the page and view the source code, that google code was still there.

So, I think HWDMediaShare component is the culprit .
