hi,

I'm looking for a way to allow my Bloggers a mobile blogging on the road with iPhone. would be cool if we get a app like this one [url:kq2b1vj5]http&#58;//www&#46;ijoomer&#46;com/iphone-app-for-jreviews&#46;html[/url:kq2b1vj5] because the chance to find a wifi in the dessert is much more better then a computer <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
hi, this thread is quit old but i guess the need for a Native Easyblog App (iPhone/Android) is still there!? i tried different things like responsive theme, latest plugin from weeverapps or iJoomer (JS) but all these are not fulfill users needs for an easy way to write a new Blog entry with a mobile phone.

1. take photos with there camera
2.add taken photo to new blog
3. puplish there blog
4. comment other entrys
5. subscripe
6. User Location on a Map
...

should be work similar like this one for Blogger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26GNExOBbH8#t=18

http://www.bloggo.ca/#demo it's so f*** great

what do you think?

Hello Rene,

I won't be able to give you a definite answer here simply because we have no experience developing mobile apps. I really wish if we have the time to play around with it though.

i unterstand mark..the time...the time..you could consider to hire a IOS/Android APP Expert for your Company and offer a easy Solution to Blog on Mobile Devices as a new pay product! more and more people use mobile devices like Tablets and Mobile Phones.

Hello Rene,

Hiring an expert IOS / Android app expert would also mean that this would add to the costing of the product because we don't sell 1,000,000 copies of EasyBlog every day unfortunately

Hi Mark, sure there's cost to everything but this feature would be guaranteed to bring more customers...And like René mentioned you charge for the feature, you don't just give it up...So you have a great potential of sales waiting for you guys when you launch this product...Mobile is the future and you guys need to stay on top of it like you always do...

Keep up the good work and I will keep buying your stuff...! :-)

Well I really hate all the forums that then ask me every time to install tapatalk I am happy just to get the info I need and leave or comment etc. I am happy with responsive. If an app could be as sweet as the wordpress one then I think that could be great but the cost would be massive to implement. I am sure it would put the cost of easy blog out of reach for many hobbyist sites like mine.

many of my blogger are travel and they not satisfied with the current way how responsive blogging (inl. images, videos) works on Mobile Phones or Tablets. for example see this demo video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26GNExOBbH8#t=18 and compare it with the way how easyblog allows blogging with responsive design! responsive is a good idea to show pages in a nice layout on different screen sizes but have also limits for a realy easy blogging with Mobile Phones!

I am sure it would put the cost of easy blog out of reach for many hobbyist sites like mine.
i think it will not put the costs out of reach of easyblog if its offered as an seperate and additional product for non hobbyist pages!

Thanks for the heads up on this guys. I really can't give you an answer right now because we don't have such expertise in house and we don't actually have the luxury of time to perform R&D to build mobile apps. But what I can be certain of is that we'll try our best to figure out a solution for everyone

hi mark, maybe a temporary solution for a better
mobile blogging
on iphone would be if EB will support
Wordpress App
and Wordpress API. i have often discussions with new user about mobile blogging and most of them decide then to use a other blogging provider. Blogsy app does only work with iPad and Weeverapps are not very easy to use. to help my blogger i'v created now a additional wordpress installation on a free server where my users are now able to blog with wordpress app..however i have to transfer manually all these wp articles and images to there respective EB accounts. that is very time consuming

To be honest, we don't have much experience with mobile apps as we have never really worked on it before. Our main goal for EasyBlog 4.0 today is to simplify the composing area and allow web users to quickly / easily create blog posts. Perhaps we could offer something else down the road where we could build native apps. We might start with iOS devices first.
