Installation of easyblog 5.0.30 fails - missing xml file

Hi,

I just downloaded the easyblog 5.0.30 and tried to install. Unfortunately all packages fail using the description on http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/setup/installation-on-joomla-3-x

Launcher package: (installed via Joomla Extension Mgr Upload package file, joomla version 3.4.5 )

Warning: JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file.
Error: Unable to find install package
Inspecting the com_easyblog_launcher_pro_5.0.30_joomla3.0.zip file it shows that it contains no xlm file (see screenshot)

Component package \com_easyblog_component_pro_5.0.30_joomla3.0.zip
transferred to server using filezilla to folder /components/com_easyblog/setup/packages

Warning: JInstaller: :Install: Can't find XML setup file.
Error: Path does not have a valid package.
Unable to find install package

same error when file is put in folder /tmp/easyblog

inspection of zip file: root does not contain xml file (see screenshot)

Full package com_easyblog_full_pro_5.0.30_joomla3.0.zip

same error , although file contains config.xml file (see screenshot)

can you please inform me what I am doing wrong ?

Can you provide us your backend and FTP access so we can have a better look on your issue here?

I am sorry for the delay of this reply ,

I try to use you ftp access and get this message:
Could not connect to server “ftp.eglantineonline.com”.

The user name or password was not accepted by the server.


For you joomla backend it seem that you have didn't allow login user permission to access `extension` page, can you assign login user account to have Superadmin privileges so that I can check the installation issue for you.

Hi Jasni,

sorry to hear about the connection issues.
The priviliges on the joomla user account have been increased.
I have rechecked the ftp server setup and login works fine for me.
what you can try as alternative ftp server name is server41.hostpoint.ch
