Hi there,
Our blog posts display the images nicely, However, when featuring them in the showcase gallery, the default image icon appears. I have been poking around in the settings/media but have not been able to find the image file path permission setting.....? Henrik

Hello Henrik,

I think there is some misunderstanding here. The reason that there is no image appearing on the showcase module is because you do not have a "post cover" associated with the post.

In EasyBlog 5, we are trying to ensure that your sites deliver quality posts and in order to achieve this, we can only manipulate the post cover's. You need to edit your posts, and insert a post cover for your post. You can see my screen shot here to get a better idea on how you can upload a cover photo for your blog post, http://screencast.com/t/lq2L76ym

Hi Henrik Sundqvist,

Can you replace the attached file at JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\post\.post.php
Do backup this attached file as we might not include this fix on the next release.

Hello Henrik,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue?

Oh, ok I thought having the image in the body of the e-mail was sufficient. Thank you, will try out this new feature. Henrik

Hello Henrik,

Yep, that is true for EasyBlog 3.9 but the behavior was EasyBlog tries to fetch the first image in the post and we had issues where user sets a smiley as the first picture on the post and the smiley then get's picked up as the blog image

The best way to go around this was thought through in EasyBlog 5 by enforcing authors to use a post cover

Sorry to bother one more time.
I did change the image file path under media manager to just images/ for shared media. When adding a cover accessing the shared image folder I do see the folders however the images are not accessible. What would the reason be for not being able to access the images within the folders? Henrik

Hm, some of these images are not existent on the site. By the way, may I suggest that you create a new folder for your shared images and upload images in there rather than using the entire /images/ folder of your Joomla site.

K,
I added back the sub folders. When accessing the shared media folder I still cannot access any images. I did FTP an image to
http://artsfairfax.org/images/easyblog_shared/2015/Obon1.jpg

Why would that be? See screenshot

The image upload feature works fine. It shows up under http://artsfairfax.org/images/easyblog_articles/467/

Hello Henrik,

You need to upload the images via EasyBlog rather than FTP. The reason is because EasyBlog will need to resize and create several different dimensions
