how to test cron job

Hi!
I've setup cron job for Komento as per the documentation, in Cpanel. How do I know whether it is running correctly?
I've added the details I filled out in the 'URL' section. I set it to run every 30 minutes, as Siteground specified you cannot run it more than that.

Hello Elle,

To test whether it is running or not, you can create a comment so that the notification will get generated to be sent. Then, you can manually run the cron URL http://www.yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_komento&task=cron. Once done, you can check the Komento MailQ to see whether the email is sent or not in Backend>Komento>Mail Queue.

I see 3 notifications in the mailq, like 'A new comment is posted (Contact)'.
Does that mean these emails have been sent and I'm up and running?
I received a 'new comment' email in my inbox, so I'm hoping that means I've set it up okay.
