Are you referring to this advanced search in the easy social search page as shown in this screenshot ( http://screencast.com/t/mimMqUES7VO ) ?

Hello Jasonargo,

To remove the advance search module you must upload this attached file to \Joomla\modules\mod_easysocial_search\tmpl

Hello Jasonargo,

You may have to back up that file because the next easy social release or update may not include the hack file i just gave you.

How can you actually remove the words "advance search"? Also how do you make the advance search the home pages?

Hello,

You can create a menu item that links to the advanced search and set that menu item as your home menu item

Where do you go to change the settings for the search? The idea is to only have a search by either address or location.

Sorry but I don't quite get you here. Did you mean the advanced search? The fields are actually automatically prepopulated based on the custom fields that are available on the site

Yes in the advanced search screen. Is there away to hide some fields, so that the user can only search by one category? What i want is for users to come to the site and be able to search just base on address and maybe one more criteria. I did not find where on the back end where you can go to change these settings, if you can.

Hello,

Ah, unfortunately you cannot restrict this But the idea behind "Advanced Search" is to allow users to perform "searching based on their criterias they want".
