My dear forum and ES folks,

(Yes i need something )

Kind of "by accident" I noticed the when I make the "EasyBlog » Overview Layout (Dashboard)" the landing page of my site, I get automatically a nice logon screen as it is required to sign on to get to the dashboard. (see print screen)

When I have the "EasyBlog » Frontpage Blog Layout" set as my initial page, I cant get that and I need to add myself a logon screen.

So the question: If there is a way to also get that nice logon screen with the Frontpage Blog Layout? As I woudl assume that why you call it "Frontpage" and would be nice to get that same logon screen on that page without having to go via the dashboard

Thanks guys!

Luc
Hello Luc,

It is possible but with a minor hack. Please replace the attached file in: ../components/com_easyblog/views/latest/view.html.php and see how it goes.

Nik,

Thanks for the quick answer, Amazing.....Nice.... close actually... its not exactly as the one I've seen, the table header thing looks quite different.
See other screenshot.

PS: Ignore the right hand side login on the print screen, thats the default one i had added originally.

Regards,
Luc

Hello Luc,

It is different because they are using different CSS file. Please replace the attached file in: ../components/com_easyblog/themes/default/css/styles.css.

Nik, All,

I have a signon problem now. Not sure if its a conflict in the earlier/above "hack" (maybe in combination with EB/ES updates) or something else.
There are timeouts now when trying to get to the signing page and AFAICS there seems to be the language extension missing at the end of the url when signing on. (like /be or /en)
May i ask if this could be related to the above or any clue where this would come from? I tried to simplify the logon and menues in the hope to identify the issue, but so far no luck.
Thanks for the suggestion or looking into this.

If i manually add the language extension, it works and I get to the EB main page. And when I signed I get the logon ok, but when just entering the base url, i get a timeout. Suggestions welcome.

Cheers! Luc
