Hi folks,

How do I extend the session time in EasySocial? I'd like for the user to remain logged in as long as the browser is open. At the moment automatic logout happens and creates problems with ACL menu items with the user logs in again. Is it possible to override the Joomla session time and keep the user logged in?

Thank you,

James
Global Configuration -> System -> Session Lifetime (please be informed that it is in minutes).

Thanks, guys. The Joomla tool-tip warning says "don't set too high" for the Session Lifetime field. How high is too high?

Cheers,

James

The default is 15 minutes, you can just double it to 30 minutes. Usually, most people doesn't care to opened Windows when it's more than that time and also, for security purpose.

Also, if you have enabled the "System - Remember" plugin, you don't really need to increase this. This is provided that they have ticked the checkbox "Remember me" when logging in
