Hi
Im trying to use Team Blogs as categories divider. See link http://chamberscn.com/Genesis-Chambers-Blog/Teamblog/Page-1.html

1. Is this the easiest way to separate two languages blogs?
2. If yes, how do I change the title Team Blogs to Choose your language (it will have to be in both Chinese and English though on two separate pages) or get rid of the title altogether.

Thanks.

Vlad
Hello Vlad,

1. Is this the easiest way to separate two languages blogs?
>> No. You can use language switcher for this. Please refers here for guide: http://www.templaza.com/blog/how-to-create-a-multilingual-site-in-joomla-3/68 .

2. If yes, how do I change the title Team Blogs to Choose your language (it will have to be in both Chinese and English though on two separate pages) or get rid of the title altogether.
>> However, if you want to do this, you can tweak the code. Can you provide us with backend access and FTP access so that we can help you customize this.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Hi
Thanks for the link. But my site is already multilingual.
The point I was making is that I would need some separation of Chinese language blogs from those in English. This needs to be easily understendable by users and visually easy to use.
Ive emailed you my passpwrd to private msg.
Thanks
Vlad

Hi I have attached details of my site.
Please just get rid of the Team Blogging Header for now. Also, if you could give me a tip on how to switch between language in a different way with my site being mulitilingual already, I would appreciate this.

Lastly, how do you think I can connect with WeChat through the blog?

Thanks

Vlad

Hello Vlad,

I have helped customize this and this customization will not be included in the next release. Please backup this file before updating EasyBlog since this file will be override by the latest version. \components\com_easyblog\controller.php line: 519 . Can you verify this for me this issue is resolved?
Regarding the tips, you can follow exactly this guide http://www.templaza.com/blog/how-to-create-a-multilingual-site-in-joomla-3/68 and you will have a multilingual site.
About WeChat, I believe integration of this feature is not available in the current system. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Hope this will work.
Thanks.

Hi Mohd

Im not sure i understand what you meant. You said you have customized the file, but where is the file. Also, I believe there is a way to switch between English and Chinese versions, isnt there? if there is then there is not need to customise and override files. Perhaps, we can focus on just getting it tuned and take advantage of multilingual capability of the component?
Thanks
Vlad

Hello Vlad,

I am sorry for the late reply and misunderstanding.
I referring to your earlier reply suggesting me to get rid to the team blogging header.
Please just get rid of the Team Blogging Header for now

However, I have helped you fix this issue. Can you check if this issue is resolved? What I've done to achieve this is, I have put this blog header and blog description in a language string. So, you can check this in your language file for this language strings:
COM_EASYBLOG_BLOG_TITLE
COM_EASYBLOG_BLOG_DESCRIPTION

Please be advise.
Thanks.

well actually, because I can not change title of the heading, it makes it very inconvenient. I am not sure I am happy about this override setting.

Hello Vlad,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here and my colleague is not around here.
I have tried to track back what my colleague did for you last time, but seems like you already changed your Joomla backend and FTP access login credential. By the way, I believe my colleague remove it from
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easyblog\themes\default\blog.tagcloud.php
LINE 23 - 25

	<div id="ezblog-section">
<span><?php echo JText::_('COM_EASYBLOG_TAGS_PAGE_HEADING');?></span>
</div>

Hi Arlex
Now I have the same problem with Categories header.
How do I get rid of that or how to I make it change with language switch? The latter one is the more preferred option.
Thanks

Hello Vlad,

Did you mean this header: http://screencast.com/t/hunSMQvF . If so, you might want to check whether this string COM_EASYBLOG_CATEGORIES_PAGE_HEADING is exist or not in the other EB language file. And I believe you are using Chinese. Or you can provide us your backend and FTP so we can check this for you. And don't worry we will definitely inform you about any changes we have made.

Hello Vlad,

I've checked your language file language/zh-CN/zh-CN.com_easyblog.ini and seems like the Categories is not translated: http://screencast.com/t/kRqkNUiuO . You can change the translation in this file. I didn't change anything in your file.
