My easysocial administrator is not joomla superuser.
Is there a way to override so that this user will not see superuser listed in easysocial Users panel? Currently, I was able to hide superuser from Joomla user administration page too.
Additionally, my easysocial administrator does not have rights to Joomla groups either. I would like to hide Assigned Users Group tab from his view too.
I would appreciate if you pointed me in the right direction.

thank you
HI Assocyate,

I am sorry for the late reply. I believe there is no available setting to do this. However, you can hack the code to achieve this.

Here I have attached to you a file, please download this and put it here: administrator/components/com_easysocial/views/users/view.html.php

Regarding your second question, "hide Assigned Users Group tab", I have attached to you another file. Please download this file and put it here: administrator/components/com_easysocial/themes/default/users/form.profile.content.php

Please do remember this is a customization and it will get overriden by the the updates. You need to backup this file first before updating EasySocial to the latest.

Please give this a try and see if this suits your need.

I actually appreciate your quick response.

Unfortunately, none of these attached files satisfied my requirement. As per your instruction. after replacing these files my non-superuser admin still can see listed superuser and can view/access 'Assigned User Groups' tab.
Btw, my manager when attempts to make any prohibitive changes like changing superuser password or change users group assignment it will get confirming OK notifications instead of displaying an error as this user is not allowed to make these changes.

Thank you,

Thanks!

That looks great! My only remaining question is how to populate this hack to my other site. Would they be the same files?
Also, is it not possible to use these files in a template override?

Hi,

Yes it is the same files. Regarding your question on template override, only this file: administrator/components/com_easysocial/themes/default/users/form.profile.content.php you able to do the template override. The other one is the core file: administrator/components/com_easysocial/views/users/view.html.php . You need to backup this file before updating EasySocial as it will get overriden by the latest file.

Hope this helps and please advise.

Hello NIK FARIS

My user is a member of the group Joomla - Administrator.
I am a member of the group Joomla - Super User.
In the list of users EasySocial sees me. He can block and remove me.
If he is a member of the Joomla - Manager, I can change the file view.html.php.
Then he did not see me.
Is it possible to convert the file to the user Administrator?

I would like to see in the tab Assigned Users Group, I would assign only some Joomla groups.
These groups I use to set permissions on the component EasyDiscuss.
I understand, to assign a user a member of some groups. I have to edit the file - administrator\components\com_easysocial\themes\default\users\form.usergroups.php.

My website is in the local network and, therefore, I can not access it.
I use Joomla 3.4.6 and EasySocial 1.4.5

Best regards, Albert

Hey Albert,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Sorry but I don't really understand your request here and you are posting on a much older thread which should have been locked as your request is probably different than what the initial poster is posting.

Please start a new thread on our forums and briefly explain what you are looking for
