Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me with two things. First I am trying to turn off the EasyBlog nav that appears on the front-end. I have the Show Blog navigation menu item set to No in the Layout section under Settings. Is there somewhere else I need to go to turn this off? A screen shot of everything I am trying to get rid of is attached.

Second, is there a way to add an Archives and Recent Posts section in the right column? A screen shot of what I am trying to do with that is also attached.

Thanks!
Hello Natalee,

I am sorry for the late reply.
You can find the settings here to disable blog toolbar: Joomla > Components > Easyblog > Settings > Layout > Toolbar. Enable blog headers = No and Enable blog toolbar = No.
Regarding
is there a way to add an Archives and Recent Posts section in the right column?
I cannot understand you well. Can you explain more so that we can understand you well.

Please be advise.
Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I am just wondering if it is possible to set up the page layout so that the main content (blog posts) are located in the left column and then I would like to have a right column sidebar that shows the titles of recent posts and the archives. The first screenshot above shows how I want to try to set it up with the right sidebar. This is the way the site looks now: http://www.oxbowtechdev.com/pilotfishseo/blog.html. Basically I want this to have the same layout you would get from using Wordpress with a main content area and then sidebar with extras. Can that be done? Thanks in advance!

Hello Natalee,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. If you want to achieve such layouts, it will actually be dependent on your Joomla template. If your Joomla template supports a sidebar area, it would be possible to position those modules on the side bar

Ok thanks. The template is custom so I can add the space for that to the layout. Can you please give me info on how to add the modules so that the Archive and Recent post info populates? Do I add them as I normally would via the Module Manager or is there a different way? Can you please send specific instructions or point me toward relevant documentation? Thanks!

Hello Natalee,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Yep, you do it the same way as publishing modules in the respective module position. You just need to download and install the modules from http://stackideas.com/downloads
